We are looking to recruit a number of paid and unpaid opportunities across our organisation. This is a really exciting time for us as we move from being a not-for-profit social enterprise to a registered charity and we are looking for people to join us on the next stage of our exciting journey!

To work with us you need to have a genuine interest in helping and supporting children and young people and be committed to helping raise their aspirations. We need people who are prepared to be completely committed to the organisation, our ethos and our mission statement. If you like to work regular hours in a routine based job then we are not for you!

If you are passionate about making a difference, prepared to try new things, can be creative yet practical and have a calm nature to deal with challenging situations then you could be a perfect match for us! Current vacancies include:

YOUTH SUPPORT WORKERS AND LEADERS - Evenings  (occasional daytime meetings and some 1:1 day work with young people most in need).

CURRENT VACANCY FOR OUR YOUTH CLUB 'THE HANG OUT' AT OUR PORTACABIN - THE WHETSTONE GET TOGETHER - Thursday evenings 6pm-9pm. MUST have experience!

Must have experience as a youth worker although a youth work qualification may not be necessary if you can demostrate your experience and prove that you are ready willing and able to create, lead and deliver innovative, refreshing, exciting sessions that engage young people, get them thinking and build effective and lasting relationships with you. We also need people who are prepared to go that extra mile, work with agencies and partners and support the development of young people as part of the wider community and alongside other community based projects. Pay rates are between £9 and £12 per hour depending on level of experience and role undertaken.

PLAY WORKERS - Evenings - (plus occasional daytime meetings which you will be reimbursed for).

We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic play workers who really do love working with children and are happy to play for hours on end! You will need to be practical and creative and we are particularly interested to hear from people with a particular skill/talent - singing, dancing, arts, football, netball, hockey, juggling... If you have a skill you can share with our children that would be incredible. You will need a calm nature in order to deal with challenging situations and behaviour that requires a soothing, nurturing response (if your go-to response is to shout then regrettably that won't work in our environment!).

In addition if you have experience leading a team, planning and delivering exciting, engaging sessions that encourage creativity and raise aspirations then we definitely want to hear from you! Pay rates between £8.50 and £12 p/hr depending on experience and level of role.

VOLUNTARY POSITIONS

We are constantly on the look out for volunteers who can commit regular hours to support our work - this is especially critical in our environment where it can take time to develop relationships with children and young people. We have numerous voluntary oportunities in Play and Youth provision in Aldershot and Farnborough so please do get in touch if you are interested in hearing more.

VOLUNTEER MENTORS REQUIRED

We are currently seeking mentors of all ages (over 18) and from all walks of life to train as mentors for some of our most challenging young people. Volunteers must have time to spare, patience, and a genuine interest in helping to raise aspirations and help young people achieve beyond their expectations. Full training will be given and all posts subject to DBS checks at enhanced level. Experience working with young people and/or vulnerable/challenging adults is ideal.

To express an interest in any of these roles please contact our Project Manager Claire Dixon by email or ring for an informal chat.
